Indigo Flight Status Today Live Updates: IndiGo flight cancellation continued for the fourth day Friday, with India’s largest airline announcing disruption of its services from the Delhi airport till midnight. The slew of flight cancellations has led to thousands of passengers being stranded at airports and facing long waits. Adding to the woes of passengers, flight charges have also skyrocketed. The only Mumbai-Delhi flight available for Friday (December 5) was quoting a fare of Rs 51,860 per passenger, while the sole Delhi-Mumbai flight was showing seat availability at Rs 48,972.
DGCA grants one-time exemption from FDTL norms: The disruption of the airline service is mainly due to crew shortages triggered by the rollout of the new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) norms. Following the development, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted the airline a temporary one-time exemption from some night operations-related changes in the new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) norms for pilots till February 10, according to sources in the know. The airline–India’s largest with a domestic market share of over 60 per cent–had on Thursday requested the DGCA for the exemptions till February 10.
