Jaiswal condemned the recent killing of a Hindu youth in Mymensingh and emphasized that these acts cannot be dismissed as ‘political violence’. The briefing also addressed the death of Indian national Prashant Sreekumar in Canada due to alleged medical negligence, with Jaiswal stating, ‘We are in touch with local authorities as to what the circumstances… that led to the death’.
