As part of its enforcement activities, the Food and Drug Administration sends warning letters to entities under its jurisdiction. Some letters are not posted for public view until weeks or months after they are sent. Business owners have 15 days to respond to FDA warning letters. Warning letters often are not issued until a company has been given months to years to correct problems. Generally, portions of the letters are redacted from public view.

In a Sept. 24 warning the Food and Drug Administration outlined details of an inspection from Feb. 24, 2025, through April 14, 2025, of the shell egg farm, North Creek Farm, where shell eggs are washed, graded, and packed, located in Little Falls, NY. During the inspection, FDA investigators observed serious violations of the Prevention of Salmonella Enteritidis in Shell Eggs During Production, Storage, and Transportation regulation. At the conclusion of the inspection, FDA investigators issued an FDA Form 483 Inspectional Observations, listing the deviations from federal law found at your farm.
