There has been a sharp decline in the number of positive samples found as part of a program targeting imported products, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

Results are from sampling products of animal origin (POAO) at UK Border Inspection Posts (BCPs), under the National Monitoring Plan, between April 2023 and March 2024. Data is from the Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System (IPAFFS), the replacement for the EU’s TRACES platform.
