Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s attempt to refer to excerpts from former Army chief General MM Naravane’s unpublished memoir in the Lok Sabha, senior BJP leader Kiren Rijiju said discussions involving the prime minister, defence minister and the Army leadership are not matters that can be aired publicly.

“If everything is to be discussed in public, how can you maintain the security for the nation?. The entire country can see how an MP is trying to use a very sensitive matter related to the country’s security as an instrument to drive political mileage,” Rijiju said.
