2026 has been an exciting year for film lovers so far. From starting the year with a Dhurandhar hangover to celebrating the armed forces with Border 2, fans have been feasting on the entertainment. However, the ride is nowhere near over, as the next scheduled item is Yash’s Toxic. Nonetheless, with just a month left before the film’s release, it seems the plot has been leaked.
Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ plot leaked
One of the most-awaited films of 2026 is a month away from its release. Yes! We are talking about Geetu Mohandas’ Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. While the details of the film have been kept under wraps so far, the buzz now is that the plot might have been leaked online. The Kannada-English film, which will hit screens on March 19, 2026, has been a well-kept secret, with only promotional material hinting at a period gangster drama. However, amid all the secrecy, the film’s UAE distributor, Phars Film, has listed the story on its website, which reveals some interesting details about the film’s plot.

Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is set in 1940s-70s Goa
The Phars Film website has revealed some key insights into Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. The website states that the gangster film set in Goa is set between the 1940s and the 1970s. It describes the film as an action-thriller saga set in a post-colonial ecosystem and following the rise of a crime syndicate. The website was quoted as:
“Set in Goa between the early 1940s and the 1970s, Toxic is a savage action-thriller saga that plunges into the rot festering beneath paradise. In this coastal land of fading colonial shadows and rising crime syndicates, a man forges his empire through blood, fear, and betrayal.”

The film has been rated as 18 TBC, which means 18+ To Be Confirmed. The synopsis on the website further revealed that the plot of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is a quest for power. It states that the film will follow a gangster (Yash) as he navigates loyalties in a web that seems deceptive at every corner. The synopsis could be read as:
“Power is not granted – it is seized, and it always demands repayment. As smuggling routes become battlegrounds and loyalties unravel into suspicion, paranoia turns into a means of survival. In the end, the only force more powerful than the consequences of his choices is the abyss within him.”

More about Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is helmed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under their respective banners, KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film has a star-studded cast, including Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. The film marks Yash’s 19th film and his first film with Prashanth Neel’s highly successful KGF movies. The film was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, though it will also be released in other South Indian languages and Hindi.

The makers released the film’s teaser on Yash’s birthday, January 8, 2026. However, it landed in trouble with the Women’s wing of the Aam Aadmi Party for its explicit nature. The party filed a complaint to the Karnataka State Commission for Women, as they had objections to the visuals in the teaser. In February 2026, a formal complaint was lodged with the CBFC by the National Christian Federation, alleging that the teaser depicts obscene scenes and offends religious sentiments. Toxic will be released in theatres on March 19, 2026, and will clash with Aditya Dhar’s Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
