The Drishyam fame revealed that she plays a bold and strong role in the Malayalam series. However, the makers were doubtful whether she would accept the role. For the uninitiated, Meena began her acting career as a child artist. She was quoted as saying:
“But when I heard the Roslin character, I loved it because she was strong, very independent. Not just that, it was a completely different characterisation. This was very different. In fact when the producers and directors side were discussing, Jeethu and all thought about me. But they were doubtful ‘will she do it, will she accept it.'”
