Acknowledging the emotional weight of the tribute, Shreya said, “Aaj ki yeh shaam mere liye sabse khaas, most important, sentimental and emotionally close to my heart evening hai. Aur main shayad kitni bhi tayari kar loon, aaj ke din ki tayari poori nahi hai. I think you will sense my vulnerability and my emotion today. We are all here celebrating the legacy of Maa Saraswati, hamari pyari Lata Didi. This tribute is from all of us fans, from the musicians and me. I am sure Didi is smiling upon us from the heavens.”
The concert also featured video tributes from people who had worked with Lata Mangeshkar over the decades. Messages poured in from several eminent personalities, including singer Nitin Mukesh, composer Anandji Shah, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, commentator Harsha Bhogle and music producer Prakash Peters.

Shreya said,“She has inspired us not just as a musician but also as a human being, living by her own terms. She gave us a sense of purpose. Aisi kitni auratein thi 40s, 50s and 60s ke daur mein jinhone itna kuch iconic kiya.”

Shreya also shared a personal memory of meeting Lata Mangeshkar for the first time at the singer’s studio. Recalling the moment, she said she was left completely speechless upon seeing Lata.
Several prominent personalities attended the concert, including Usha Mangeshkar and other members of the Mangeshkar family, Nitin Mukesh, Anandji Shah and Shantaben, Sonu Nigam, Prasoon Joshi, former cricketer Virender Sehwag and Anjali Tendulkar.
The concert closed with some of Lata Mangeshkar’s emotional songs, including Luka Chupi, Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon and Lag Ja Gale. As Shreya finished the final notes, she grew visibly emotional and broke down on stage.
After her performance, she invited Usha Mangeshkar and other members of the family on stage, felicitating her with flowers and seeking her blessings.
