Fans of Ranveer Singh who have been waiting to catch a glimpse of the superstar at the premieres are a disappointed lot. According to the latest reports, the premiere shows of Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge in the Telugu speaking states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) have been cancelled.

Reasons for Dhurandhar 2 cancellation

Several Telugu premiere shows of Dhurandhar: The Revenge have been scheduled for Wednesday evening, but they have been cancelled at the eleventh hour. Fans have expressed huge disappointment over this unexpected shock. Apparently, Dhurandhar 2 premiere shows have been cancelled due to delays in content delivery. However, the distributors are still working with the exhibitors for delivering the content on time to avoid any further delay for Thursday’s release. The Aditya Dhar directorial was scheduled for 5 PM screening on Wednesday but in multiplexes the unexpected delay due to technical snags has angered fans. The unavailability of content for various languages (dubbed versions) impacted the premieres. Apparently, the bookings in multiplexes are showing either blocked or cancelled. The cancellation buzz has certainly created a lot of annoyance and confusion among the fans.

Distributors categorically confirmed

The premieres of Dhurandhar 2 were supposed to be screened not just in Hindi, but also in South Indian languages. However, several exhibitors in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala reportedly haven’t received the final content despite shows being scheduled for the evening. And by late afternoon, many theatre owners and distributors categorically confirmed the development about cancellation of Dhurandhar 2 shows. In Telugu, online ticketing platforms have removed shows previously listed for March 18 evening. Many distributors – Rakki Cinemas, AGS Cinemas, Broadway Cinemas and KSPS Cinemas – took to social media to announce the refund of tickets for audiences who do not wish to watch Dhurandhar 2 in Tamil.
