Ranveer Singh’s starrer first instalment was a blockbuster, and the excitement around the second part tells a lot about the fate of the film. Who is ‘Bade Sahab’ in Dhurandhar 2?
The much-awaited sequel of the film brings back ‘Bade Sahab’ in Dhurandhar 2. However, the makers have kept the identity sealed to add more anticipation for the spy-action thriller. As per what has been revealed in the trailer and promotional videos, the character is considered to be the mastermind, adding more suspense around the identity. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, has a famous star cast including R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun.Â
There have been a lot of speculations around the character, and some believed that Emraan Hashmi might play the antagonist. However, as per the recent report, ‘Bade Sahab’s’ character, which is referred to as that of Dawood Ibrahim in the movie. As per the Wikipedia page, Danish Iqbal is playing the role of ‘Bade Sahab’ a.k.a. Dawood Ibrahim in Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Dhurandhar 2‘s regional releases are getting cancelled at the last minute
However, just before the release day, Dhurandhar 2 got cancelled in several parts of the country. A major multiplex chain from Tamil Nadu shared that the film’s paid previews have been cancelled. The message on X, can be read as:
“We regret to inform that the Tamil paid previews of Dhurandhar: The Revenge scheduled for today have been cancelled. Refunds will be initiated shortly. Thank you for your patience.. (sic)”.
After which, Aditya Dhar apologised to his fans, who were awaiting the release of the film in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The last-minute cancellations left many disappointed as they had already booked the tickets. Aditya Dhar penned a special post for the regional fans and apologised to them. In the same, he revealed that when the movie will be available in different languages. Aditya Dhar shared that the show will start from 9 p.m. at night. He wrote:
“To our dear Dhurandhar family, Dhurandhar is not just a film for us; it is something we have lived with, nurtured, and dreamed of sharing with each and every one of you, together, at the same moment, in every language. Most of our Hindi shows across India are running as scheduled from 5 pm onwards. All of our Tamil and Telugu shows will commence from 9 pm onwards. However, due to unforeseen technical difficulties, our Malayalam and Kannada shows will begin from tomorrow morning.”
Aditya Dhar further shared that if the dubbed version’s tickets are not playing at your cinema, fans can either get a refund or watch the film in Hindi with subtitles. He apologised for the inconvenience, and wrote:
“If the dubbed version you have tickets for is not currently playing at your cinema, you will have the option for a refund or to watch the Hindi version with subtitles instead. We truly apologise for the inconvenience. Your love for this film means the world to us, and we cannot wait to share it with you. – Team Jio Studios and B62 Studios.”
