Miley Cyrus began filming Hannah Montana at the age of 13. She didn’t know the ways of Hollywood, but support from her family made it easier for the young star. During a recent interview with Variety, Miley opened up on Hannah Montana’s success and how important it was for her father and grandmother to protect her on sets.

Miley revealed that her dressing room was right next to Billy Ray Cyrus’ dressing room. In fact, her grandmother Loretta “Mammie”: Finley, would keep an eye on the kitchen.
She said, “My dad was on set every single day, so there was nothing that could happen that he wouldn’t know about. There was never a time when I was going to be alone in that dressing room.”
Being grateful for her parents Billy and Tish Cyrus-Purcell, Miley also revealed, “My parents didn’t need me to be famous to survive or to be stable. What happens to a lot of these kids is their parents want it more than they do, or the kids become responsible for the entire income of the family. That was never my job. Every penny I ever made went into my bank account because my parents were good.”
While she had a fall out with her father later, she made a song titled Secrets with artistes of Fleetwood Mac as a way to apologise to him. She included Fleetwood Mac since it is her father’s favourite band.

Interestingly, Miley is donning Hannah Montana’s blonde wig once again for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special. As per the makers, she is slated to revisit the moments, music and memories of Hannah Montana. They are also planning to reveal never-before-seen archival footage and recreate sets from the show.
