Chappel Roan is in a soup of controversy involving soccer star Jorginho’s 11-year-old daughter. The entire world is talking about it and is upset with the way Chappell has harassed a young girl. The situation escalated to a level where the city’s leadership issued a stance against the singer’s participation in the major public event.
What happened between Chappell Roan and Jorginho’s 11-year-old daughter?
It all started from the hotel in Sao Paulo during the famous Lollapalooza Brasil event, where Jorginho and his family were staying. As per the soccer player, his 11-year-old daughter was extremely excited on the day, and she was the one who quickly noticed Chappel Roan. She was a fan of the singer and smiled at her to confirm it was her.
However, Jorginho revealed that a security guard associated with Chappell confronted the girl and her mother. They accused them of harasmeent leaving the child upset and visibly in tears. The 34-year-old soccer player shared his family’s ordeal with a lengthy Instagram Story. He shared the post in Portuguese and English on March 21, 2026. He accused the singer of sending her security guard and accusing his 11-year-old daughter of disrespecting the musician as they were dining at the same place. He wrote:
“I went through a very upsetting situation with my family earlier today. My wife [Catherine Harding, who also goes by Cat Cavelli] is in Sao Paulo for Lollapalooza Brasil. This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited. She even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire.”
Without naming the child, it appears he was talking about his 11-year-old daughter of his wife, Catherine Harding, whom she welcomed with her ex, Jude Law. In fact, Jorginho’s wife was the one who shared a happy photo of her daughter, Ada Law as they dined together. Jorginho further talked about the altercation and revealed that they were staying at the same hotel. He wrote:
“By coincidence, they’re staying at the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognised her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her. And the worst part is, she didn’t even approach her. She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.”
Talking about what followed was a huge security guard coming to their table as they were having their breakfast. He was harshly talking to his wife and daughter, and accused his wife of allowing her daughter to disrespect the singer. Jorginho added that how can he consider it harassment to walk past a table and see if there was someone. Jorginho revealed that his daughter was left shaken, and she kept crying. He wrote:
“A large security guard came over to their table while they were still having breakfast and began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn’t allow my daughter to ‘disrespect’ or ‘harass’ other people. Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,” the soccer pro continued, alleging that the security guard “even said he would file a complaint against them with the hotel, while my 11-year-old daughter was sitting there in tears. My daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot.”
