Ranabaali is a period drama set in the 19th century that stars Vijay as the titular character. He will essay the role of a freedom fighter, and Rashmika will be seen as his wife, Jayamma. The first look was unveiled a couple of months ago, right after Vijay and Rashmika tied the knot. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film will be released on September 11, 2026. This will mark the couple’s third film together after Dear Comrade and Geetha Govindam.

The couple had a private relationship for a long time before they finally decided to make things public. They confirmed their marriage with the statement, “Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves, you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today – with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it – ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’.”
