Recently, Rajpal Yadav attended the Chetak Screen Awards, where the host took a jibe at him. When the news reached Bollywood’s bhai, he rushed to his support. He took to his X account and slammed those mocking him and lent a helping hand. Salman pointed out that Rajpal Yadav has been in the industry for the past 30 years, and he keeps getting good work because he knows his craft.
Salman added that Rajpal Yadav would keep on getting good work, and he would get the pay on a dollar rate. Further, Salman also shared a message on how a person should not say things in the flow and keep them inside. He wrote:
“Rajpal bhai aap 30 yrs se kaam kar rahe ho aur hum sabne aapko repeat kiya hai baar baar kyunki aap apna kaam jante ho aur ek value laate ho, kaam toh aapko bohot milega aur issi dollar rate pe milega aur milte rahega. Hakikat yeh hai. Aur yeh yaad rakhna ke kabhi kabhi flow mai kuch nikal aata hai ,dena hi hai toh dimag mai rakho dil se kaam karo , dollar upar ho ya neeche kya farak padta hai dena toh India mai hi hai @rajpalofficial.”

However, it was the host, Saurabh Dwivedi, who took a dig at him and reminded him of his own case. He stated that he had to return the money that he had taken. While Rajpal chose not to respond to the comment, many social media users praised his humbleness. However, there were many who called out Saurabh Dwivedi for his mean remark at a public platform. It is worth mentioning that creatives write the script for the awards. On April 7, 2026, Rajpal Yadav took to his X account and clarified that it was just an act at the awards show. He mentioned that there were many skits and performances on the show. So, they also tried preparing a fun skit with Saurabh Dwivedi and Zakir Khan. Their idea for the skit was something else, but it went wrong. He requested that Saurabh and Zakir be extremely close to him. He said:
“Sometimes it happens in films too, we design one scene with something in mind but the meaning does not reach the audience in the same way. This is cinema! Saurabh and Zakir are like brothers to me. They have always respected me. They are very close to me. We are artists and storytellers, always connected to each other. Saurabh even got the audience to applaud during the show. Thank you, Saurabh, and please do not criticise him and hurt him. If you hurt him, you will hurt me. I love Saurabh, I love Zakir. I love you all. I am here because of you all. Thank you.”
