He travels to Mumbai to meet him, but things take a turn after a disappointing encounter. What begins as admiration soon turns into anger, leading to a conflict between the fan and the star.
The film is considered one of Shah Rukh Khan’s most experimental projects. He stepped away from his superstar image to play Gaurav, while also portraying Aryan. The dual role required him to undergo prosthetic transformation and present two very different personalities on screen.
While Fan received mixed reviews upon its release, it has been noted for its concept and attempt at a different kind of storytelling.
