High Court Order Repealing Madarsa Act stayed by Supreme Court, says HC misconstrued provisions of law – Times of India



The Supreme Court granted relief to around 17 lakh madarsa students by staying an Allahabad High Court order that deemed the Uttar Pradesh Board of Madarsa Education Act, 2004 unconstitutional. The bench, led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, issued notices for further consideration, highlighting the regulatory nature of the Madarsa board.
