NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken stock of the incident, after a car blast near Red Fort rocked the national capitial on Monday evening, as per government sources. He was briefed by home minster Amit Shah on the situation.At least eight people and 24 have been injured in the blast. The cause is yet to be known, as investigation in under way. Amit Shah has spoken to the Delhi Police Commissioner and the Director of the Intelligence Bureau to take stock of the situation following the blast near Red Fort, ANI sources said. He has also directed the chiefs of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), and the Directorate of Forensic Sciences to rush teams to the site to assist in the probe and collect evidence, they added.
