Just a day after the demise of singer Bhavatharini, father and veteran music composer Ilaiyaraaja took to social media remembering her. On Friday evening, Ilaiyaraaja took to his X handle to share a throwback photo of his late daughter from when she was a child. The black and white photo has the music composer conversing to her daughter about something by showing a book as he wore a headphone.
His emotional caption read, “Dear daughter” in Tamil.Look at his post here!

Bhavathatini, a famous singer breathed her last on Thursday. The 47 year old, suffered from Cancer and was receiving medical treatment in Sri Lanka. As per media reports, Bhavatharini was diagnosed with cancer only a few months back and she was already at stage 4 and she travelled to Sri Lanka for treatment and underwent Ayurvedic therapy for 5 months. However, her health did not improve and she succumed to the deadly illness.
Bhavatahrini’s mortal remains were brough back to Chennai on Friday where her final cremation was held and the film fraternities mourned the loss of the popular singre. Many grieved the loss of Bhavatharini and shared their condolence with the music composer Ilaiyaraaja and his family. Actor Kamal Haasan took to X to state that he does not know how to console his brother Ilaiyaraaja. His statement in Tamil read, “My heart aches. I don’t know how to console my beloved brother Ilaiyaraaja. I will hold his hands through this. Bhavatharini’s death cannot be tolerated or accepted. Ilaiyaraaja shouldn’t give up dealing with this huge loss. My heartfelt condolences to Bhavatharini’s family.”
Many actors including Vishal and Karthik paid respects to Bhavathatini and shared their condolences with her brother Yuvan Sahnkar Raja and cousin Venkat prabhu and Premji. Music composer AR Rahman also took to Twitter to share his grief.
