A 58-year-old person was killed after being knocked down by a speeding car near Vadapalani on Saturday (March 14, 2026) night.
Police said Bhaskar was a resident of VOC Street in Mathiyazhagan Nagar of Saligramam and was an autodriver. On Saturday night, Bhaskar was returning home in his auto on the Vadapalani – Nerkundram Road when an unidentified car approaching from the opposite direction dashed into Bhaskar’s auto-rickshaw and fled the scene without stopping.
