Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s speech during the ‘Save Constitution, Save Nation’ rally was disrupted by some women activists of the BJP who shouted slogans against him.
One of them told him to go to Pakistan. They shouted slogans in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and against the CM. They also displayed black flags till Belagavi police took them away.
They disrupted the rally for a few minutes with everyone looking at the youths raising slogans instead of the stage where the CM was speaking. The CM got disturbed and stopped to ask who was creating problems. The CM summoned the police to the stage.
Narayan Baramani, Additional Superintendent of Police, Dharwad, who was posted near the stage, went near the CM. The CM said, “Who is the SP here? What is this trouble? Can you not contain it in time?”
Mr. Baramani tried to explain, but the CM was not satisfied. He raised his hand and Mr. Baramani took a step back.
The CM resumed his speech after senior ministers H. K. Patil and M. B. Patil, and Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala asked him to. The CM also gave some instructions to Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar.
