Congress workers under the banner of the District Congress Committee (DCC) took out a march to the District Collectorate here on Tuesday demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Inaugurating the march, Benny Behanan, MP, alleged that the Chief Minister and his office were embroiled in corruption. He said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter had become an ambassador of corruption. He also claimed that officials from the chief secretary to lower ranks had become facilitators of corruption.
DCC president A. Thankappan presided over the function. V.K. Sreekandan, MP, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee general secretaries C. Chandran and K.A. Thulasi, State working committee member C.V. Balachandran, veteran Congress leader V.C. Kabeer, Sandeep Varier, Balagopal, P.V. Harigovindan, P.V. Rajesh, Sumesh Achuthan, Firos Babu, G. Sivarajan and Ahamed Ashraf spoke.
