NEW DELHI: Enthused by the success of its crowdfunding initiative, Congress is planning major improvisation by offering party merchandise like T-shirts, cups, caps signed by Rahul Gandhi for a fixed sum of donation through a dedicated portal. Congress said its portal for donations has already faced 20,400 bot attacks since its launch on December 18 this year, of which 1,340 were attempts to steal data.
Congress has now decided to offer QR codes at public rallies to mobilise funds, starting with the mega rally in Nagpur on December 28.The party has received Rs 2.81 crore from 1.13 lakh people in just two days. It is now planning to send observers to the state headquarters to urge leaders to publicise the drive. tnn
