Actress Sanchita Ugale, who is currently winning hearts with her role as Sukoon in Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi, recently shared an interesting chapter about learning dance by herself in an exclusive chat with Times of India TV.
Opening up about her love for dance, on International Dance Day the actress revealed she enjoys dancing. The day is marked on April 29 annually.
She said, “I love dancing. Dance is one of the most multi-purpose skills out there. Learning to dance at home is a versatile and rewarding activity, with my own experience I can say that it offers numerous benefits, including improved physical fitness, reduced stress, enhanced mental agility, and a boost in self-confidence. It can also be a fun and enjoyable way to stay active, lose weight, and connect with music.”
She continued, “Lots of people learn to dance in structured settings, but with the prevalence of the television, internet, many resources like videos and online communities for support, anyone can learn to dance at home. And I was one to learn at home. I’m not a trained dancer but I never struggled to perform. I can dance confidently.”
Sanchita added that the art also helps her into acting. She shared, “Dance skills significantly enhance acting, helping me as an actor to be more comfortable and expressive on stage or screen. To dance is to escape into a world where your body tells the story.”
She concluded by mentioning, “Dance as an art connects us beyond boundaries, speaking a universal language of joy and expression. It is the celebration of individuality, where every move reflects your unique essence. Dance is the ultimate form of self-expression, where words are replaced by gestures of emotion.”

Sanchita has also appeared in Kumkum Bhagya, Wagle Ki Duniya, and web projects like Silence 2 and Crime Aaj Kal.
