Fans are showering Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi with love after she opened up about her cervical cancer diagnosis. The ‘Jersey Shore’ star shared a health update in a TikTok video after getting the results from her recent cone biopsy.

Snooki Urges Women To Prioritize Check-Ups Amid Cancer Diagnosis

In a new TikTok video, Nicole Polizzi gave fans an update on her health journey. She told viewers that doctors diagnosed her with stage 1 cervical cancer. While sharing the news, she urged women to get their Pap smears, explaining that the annual test caught the cancerous cells on her cervix. She also said she had been dealing with abnormal Pap smears for about three to four years now.

“It came back stage 1 cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma,” Snooki said in the clip. “Obviously not the news I’ve been hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early.”

Additionally, Snooki told her followers that during her first colposcopy, doctors removed “a chunk of her cervix.” She then had a cone biopsy, where surgeons take out a cone-shaped wedge of abnormal tissue from the cervix. Polizzi also mentioned that her biopsy showed clear margins around the tumor, meaning the cancer hasn’t spread beyond the cervix yet, but there’s still a possibility that it can spread in her body.

Snooki said her next step will be a hysterectomy, and she’ll be able to keep her ovaries. Ultimately, her PET scan results will determine how she moves forward.

Snooki Shares The Emotional Moment She Found Out She Had Cervical Cancer

Nicole told fans about her appointments and diagnosis back in January. In a TikTok video, she said she had a feeling the results wouldn’t be good because she didn’t want to deal with the pain during appointments or the stress.

“The reason why my doctor’s on my a** all the time is because I waited. I waited on my damn appointments because I knew I might not get great results, but also because I didn’t want to feel the pain. I didn’t want to deal with the stress of having to deal with all of this,” Polizzi explained.

She said she decided to open up about her journey to spread awareness and encourage other women to keep up with their check-ups to prevent potential health scares.

“Just making this video to spread awareness to make sure you get your pap smears. And if your doctor calls you to do it again, do it.” She added, “Make sure you’re fine and prevent all the bad things that could happen, like cervical cancer.”
