A former Nickelodeon star has reportedly been seen living on the streets in California. Tylor Chase, now 36, who played Martin Qwerly on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide from 2004 to 2007, was spotted homeless in Riverside, Los Angeles.
Footage that first emerged on social media in September shows Chase wearing a worn Los Angeles Raiders polo shirt and holding up his jeans while speaking to the person recording him. In the video, he is asked if he once appeared on Nickelodeon. “Yeah, on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” Chase responds. When the person filming recognises him, she says, “Oh yeah, you’re that kid on it.”

The video garnered over 10 million views as several users reacted, with one commenting, “It’s unfortunate but a common occurrence from people sexually abused as children like so many were,” a user wrote. “God only knows what these kids went through. So so so sad,” another user commented.
“It’s always the kids from Nickelodeon. I honestly hope he pulls through this and comes out 10x better and stronger. Who knows what led to this?” a third user reacted.
After the video went viral, a GoFundMe fundraiser was created in Chase’s name and raised more than $1,200. The page was later removed by his mother, who explained that financial donations were not what he needed. “Tylor needs medical attention, not money. But he refuses it,” The Sun quoted Chase’s mother.
She added, “I appreciate your effort, but money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day or two. He can’t manage money for his meds by himself.”
Chase’s situation was also addressed by his former co-stars Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee on an episode of their Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide.
Daniel Curtis Lee described his reaction to Hello Magazine, after seeing the video. “There was some bad news that I received earlier this week about our dear friend Tylor Chase. It was a lot to process for me. When I first saw, I was angry, because I was like, why put a camera on someone’s face in hard times?”
