Girl molested on Airoli railway station | Thane News – Times of India

THANE: The Thane Government Railway Police (GRP) have launched a manhunt to nab an unidentified man who molested a 20-year-old female engineering student at Airoli railway station.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Wednesday at around 10.25 am on the west side of Airoli railway station near the subway.
In her complaint to the police, the victim narrated the ordeal in which she alleged that while she was climbing the stairs, the accused came from the back side and touched her inappropriately.She tried to apprehend him but the accused managed to flee the scene taking the advantage of the rush. In the meantime, she managed to get a glimpse of the accused.
As the complainant was terrified with the incident, she then informed this to the family members after which they approached the police and a case was registered with Thane GRP under section 354 of the Indian penal code.
The police said that the victim has given the description of the accused who is said to be in the age group of nearly 25-30 years. and that they are probing the incident. Also CCTvs will also be scanned that are installed at the railway station.
