This special report focuses on an acid attack on a 20-year-old student in Delhi, which has once again raised serious questions about women’s safety in the national capital. The main accused, identified as Jitender, allegedly stalked the victim and, along with his two associates, Ishan and Arman, attacked her with a corrosive substance near Lakshmibai College. According to the police, ‘Ishan handed over a bottle to Arman, who then threw acid on her’. The student sustained burn injuries on her hands while trying to protect her face and was admitted to a hospital. The Delhi Police have registered a case and formed multiple teams to investigate the incident and apprehend the three accused, who fled the scene on a motorcycle.
