The England star pulled off a no-look throw to the stumps — a move famously associated with Chennai Super Kings legend MS Dhoni — prompting fans to draw immediate comparisons.
The moment of magic came on the fourth ball of the final over of Mumbai’s innings, as Bosch looked to squeeze a second run and retain strike for the final delivery. Rashid Khan fired in a quick throw from the deep, which saw Buttler covering significant ground to gather the ball. In one swift motion and without looking, Buttler released a sharp throw behind him, hitting the stumps directly and catching Bosch short of his crease.
