This special report focuses on the arrest of JDU leader and Mokama candidate, Anand Singh, in connection with the murder of Jansuraj party supporter Dularshan Yadav, just days before the Bihar Assembly elections. Patna’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Kartikesh Sharma, stated, ‘In any area, no anti-social elements will be allowed to affect the election process. People will vote in an environment of enthusiasm and without fear, this is our assurance.’ The arrest follows a violent clash between supporters of rival candidates on October 30. An autopsy revealed Yadav died from a ruptured lung and multiple rib fractures, not a gunshot. The police, led by SSP Sharma, arrested Singh from his residence, confirming he was present at the scene of the crime. This development has significantly raised political tensions in the sensitive Mokama constituency ahead of the November 6 polling date.
