A woman passenger on a KSRTC bus was harassed by a co-passenger in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. The incident took place on a bus travelling from the Thiruvananthapuram depot to Vellarada via Kattakada, near Peyad.

The woman recorded the incident on her phone, confronting the man before striking him and showing his face on camera. In the video, he is seen touching her body inappropriately while using a bag to conceal his actions. The woman is heard questioning him, saying, “What are you doing? Don’t you have a mother and sister at home? How disgusting is this? Aren’t you ashamed?”

The conductor later intervened after the woman demanded that the man be removed from the bus or that the vehicle be taken to a police station. He was subsequently made to disembark. No formal complaint has been filed yet.

The video, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the sequence of harassment, the man first touching the woman’s legs before moving his hand inside her blouse.
