Three persons, including a woman, were arrested in Khammam district of Telangana for allegedly murdering a 40-year-old man and chopping his body into pieces, police said on Thursday.

According to Khammam Rural ACP B Thirupathi Reddy, the prime accused, Parimi Ashok (36), a native of NTR district in Andhra Pradesh and resident of Khammam, executed the crime after watching videos on YouTube.

He had met the victim, Gatla Venkateshwarlu, a real-estate broker from Kamepally village living in Hyderabad, at a library in Khammam. The two reportedly shared a homosexual relationship, and the victim had frequently provided financial support to Ashok.

Police said the murder took place on September 16 at the victim’s house. Ashok, facing financial difficulties and planning to move to Oman, allegedly killed Venkateshwarlu to steal gold and cash.

He stabbed him multiple times, cut his throat, dismembered the body, wrapped it in a blanket, and dumped the parts in garbage heaps. He also cleaned the blood stains in the room.

Ashok carried out the plan with the help of two accomplices. Police later seized a motorcycle used in the crime, stolen gold chains, and two knives. The three accused were remanded to judicial custody, ACP Reddy said.
