A video showing a man picking up a 10-year-old boy by the neck and slamming him into a cement drain in Lucknow has gone viral on social media.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV. In the footage, the 10-year-old boy is seen being lifted by a man wearing a white T-shirt and thrown onto a cement drain, causing him to lose consciousness.

The incident took place in Lucknow’s Wazirganj police station area on February 20 and has surfaced recently. The boy had gone to offer prayers at a local mosque after breaking his fast.

After the prayers, he was playing cricket with other children outside the mosque, as seen in the viral video.

During this time, a 22-year-old local resident identified as Fahad alias Prince arrived at the spot. He grabbed the boy by the neck and between the legs, lifted him over his head, and slammed him onto the cemented lane.

The child fainted on the spot following the attack. The man is then seen walking away nonchalantly.

Immediately after the incident, the accused’s uncle Rashid and women from his household took the injured child to his home. The family was told that the boy had fainted after falling while playing.

He was then taken to a hospital, where doctors advised consultation with a neurosurgeon. Later, he was also examined at a private hospital in Indiranagar.

During this time, children who were playing with him informed the family that the boy had been deliberately lifted and thrown to the ground.

The CCTV footage clearly shows the entire incident in which the man lifts the child, holding him with one hand around his neck and the other between his legs, raises him over his head, and slams him forcefully onto the drain.

The family submitted a written complaint at the Wazirganj police station, following which a case was registered based on the complaint.
