A few months before the series, The Madison premiered on Paramount, actor, Kurt Russell had a candid conversation with Entertainment Weekly and revealed that the series will be returning for another season. The actor shared:
“Michelle Pfeiffer and Taylor were able to get together with the people at Paramount+ and said, Well, let’s do two seasons instead of just one. And then before we start the second season next year, instead of doing that, we will start with Kurt’s stuff. We really do want him to play the guy. And we’ll get his first season out of the way first, and jam all that in there, and then go into the second season and do that.’ And so we were able to do that.”
What to expect from The Madison season 2?
For those who do not know, The Madison season 1 focused on the Clyburn family, who relocated from New York City to Montana, after undergoing a personal loss. If reports are to be believed, the upcoming season is expected to be lighter and will feature the healing process of the characters. Sharing details on the same, Michelle Pfeiffer recently had an interview with The Wrap, during which she shared:
“Season 2 has a surprising amount of laughs and comical relief. I think that in the first season it goes in between sorrow and grief and denial and trying to be stoic, and all of those confusing feelings when you’ve had a traumatic loss in your life. And so Season 2, I think it’s a little more raw and more in sinking in.”
If reports are to be believed, the core cast of the much talked-about series will be returning for season 2. For those unaware, the cast of The Madison includes Michelle Pfeiffer as ‘Stacy Clyburn’ and Kurt Russell as ‘Preston Clyburn’. While there is no update on the release date of The Madison Season 2, reports claim that the shoot has already begun and is going strong. If reports are to be believed, season 2 is most likely to premiere by late 2026 or early 2027. It is worth mentioning that like season 1, the upcoming season will also air on Paramount+. Patrick J. Adams, once during a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter spoke about the shooting schedule and revealed:
“I think I speak for everyone when I say we would shoot this gladly forever. We’ve found something kind of miraculously special here and as long as it’s a story that people want to hear, we’d be happy to tell it.”
