Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday spoke to the family members of Dondapati Ramaraju, the Amaravati farmer who collapsed and died of a heart attack during a meeting with officials over the NH-8 highway alignment issue in Thulluru mandal.

Ramaraju reportedly suffered a heart attack while attending the meeting with Minister Narayana and MLA Shravan Kumar in Mandadam. He was rushed for medical attention but succumbed before reaching the hospital.

During a phone conversation, the Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family, assured them of the government’s full support, and urged them to remain strong during this difficult time. He also directed the Minister and MLA to extend all necessary assistance to Ramaraju’s family.

The incident has once again drawn attention to the continuing hardships faced by farmers affected by land acquisition and infrastructure projects in the Amaravati region. The government has reiterated its commitment to supporting the families of those impacted.
