A suspected Pakistani drone was spotted along the international border in Jammu-Kashmir’s Samba district, prompting Border Security Force (BSF) personnel to open fire at the flying object.
This marked the latest in a series of incidents involving sighting of Pakistani drones – alleged or confirmed – in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, on Sunday, just a day before Republic Day, a drone was detected by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district. As a result, a search operation was immediately launched in the area.
The drone was purportedly visibile to security personnel for about five minutes. Following the sighting, forces moved to comb the surrounding areas in order to trace the origin and movement of the drone.
