NEW DELHI: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the inaugural event of the Commonwealth Attorneys and Solicitors General Conference (CASGC) 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The event was also attended by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Chief Justice DY Chandrachud.
The conference’s theme is “Cross-Border Challenges in Justice Delivery,” focusing on crucial legal and justice issues such as judicial transition, ethical aspects of legal practice, executive accountability, and the reconsideration of contemporary legal education, among others, as stated by the Prime Minister’s office.
The participants include attorneys general and solicitors from Commonwealth nations across the Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Caribbean, along with various international delegations.
