Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday hoisted the sacred saffron flag atop the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya during a grand Dhwajarohan ceremony, symbolising the formal completion of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The ritual was performed during the highly auspicious ‘Abhijeet Muhurat’. A 22-by-11-foot saffron flag, intricately embroidered with golden symbols of the Sun, the sacred Om, and the Kovidar tree, was elevated onto a 42-foot pole mounted on the temple’s spire, marking a historic moment for the newly completed shrine.
