Rajasthan Congress leader Manvendra Singh’s wife Chitra Singh dies in car crash; ex-MP and son injured | India News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Congress leader Manvendra Singh Jasol’s car met with an accident that claimed the life of his wife Chitra Singh. The ex-MP and his son, who were also in the vehicle, were injured.
The family were on their way to Jaipur from Delhi when the car collided with a wall in Alwar on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Alwar Additional Superintendent of Police Tejpal Singh said the exact cause of the accident is not yet clear, but it appeared the driver lost control of the vehicle which hit the sidewall of the flyover.
Son of former union minister Jaswant Singh, Manvendra represented Barmer between 2004 and 2009. He joined Congress in 2018 and had contested the assembly elections against then chief minister and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje from Jhalrapatan constituency. He had lost the poll.
