Yami Gautam is reportedly set to make a special appearance in Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which stars Ranveer Singh in the lead. The cameo is said to create a narrative connection between Uri: The Surgical Strike and the Dhurandhar franchise, adding another layer to the film’s espionage driven storyline.

According to a report by Box Office Worldwide, the actress’ brief appearance has been “positioned to push the narrative forward at a critical juncture.” The report further states that the sequence is expected to take place in a hospital setting, though the makers have not officially confirmed the development yet.

There are also speculations that Yami may reprise her role as an intelligence officer from Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike, where she was seen working closely with the armed forces. Meanwhile, rumours have also suggested that Vicky Kaushal’s character Major Vihaan Shergill could make a cameo in the sequel. The buzz gained traction after the post credit scene of Dhurandhar hinted that Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza is actually Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a name that had earlier been mentioned in Uri.

Earlier this year, a Mid Day report claimed that Vicky had already shot for his portion, quoting a source saying, “Aditya has been tight lipped about the star power he is adding to Dhurandhar 2. The director, who plans to build the Dhurandhar universe, has smartly woven in a track from Uri despite the difference in the two stories’ timelines.”

However, another report by Bollywood Hungama later dismissed the claims of Vicky being part of the film.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge also features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Akshaye Khanna and Sara Arjun, and is slated to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.
