While fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Salman Khan’s upcoming war drama Maatrubhumi, latest reports suggest that the actor is already shifting his focus toward his next big-budget project. Salman is reportedly scheduled to start shooting for his untitled action drama, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, as early as next weekend. The project, which was officially announced just last week, is currently titled SVC63. Backed by producer Dil Raju, the film’s principal photography is set to start on April 18 in Mumbai. According to reports from Variety India, the shoot will begin at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon.

Salman is expected to dive straight into the thick of things, starting the schedule with a high-octane action sequence. To facilitate this, the production team has already constructed a massive, large-scale set that replicates a dense urban environment. This preparation was completed well ahead of the April 18 start date to ensure a smooth transition into filming. The film is being positioned as a major pan-India venture. It features a stellar ensemble cast, most notably starring Nayanthara as the female lead. This marks another big Bollywood outing for the actress after her successful Hindi debut in Jawan. The film also brings together a powerhouse of talent, including veteran actors Anil Kapoor and Arvind Swamy in key roles.

The team has planned an intensive three-month shooting schedule that will move from Mumbai to various locations across the country. The goal is to wrap up principal photography by August or September 2026. While the makers have not yet confirmed an official release date, industry buzz suggests they are eyeing a grand theatrical release for Eid 2027.

Interestingly, Salman is moving ahead with this new project even as questions remain about his film Maatrubhumi. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the war drama was originally slated for an April 17 release. However, there is growing buzz that the film may be eyeing a later release date, leading to rumours of a potential delay.
