The Hanumanthanagar police have uncovered an online cricket betting racket and arrested two bookies who were operating the racket through a Philippines-based online betting site.
Based on a tip-off, a team of police tracked down the bookies and caught them red-handed while they were busy with the punters during the ongoing IPL T-20 matches.
The accused confessed to the police that they were operating the racket through dafabet.com, an online betting website placing the bets online through the punters. The police have seized ₹4,100 in cash and a mobile phone.
