A major accident was narrowly averted in Karnataka’s Mangaluru after a speeding motorcycle rammed into an electric pole. It did not result in any casualties as the students, who were on the motorcycle, miraculously escaped without sustaining major injuries.
As per the CCTV footage, the two students were riding in a break-neck speed and suddenly lost control of the bike, which then crashed into the electric pole. The impact of the collision was so severe that the pole was snapped completely. The riders also fell off; however, they did not sustain any major injuries.
A passerby soon stopped at the place of the accident. He called the locals for further help for the two students. The locals gathered and provided the two with the initial assistance that was needed. They were sent to a local hospital for further treatment.
Nearly two days back, a tragic road accident occurred near Mangaluru, as a Tata Indica with five passengers rammed into a KSTRC bus, resulting in the loss of all five lives.
As per the police sources, the car was speeding, and the driver might have lost control. As a result, it first hit a divider, then crossed over to the opposite side of the lane, and crashed into the KSRTC bus. The impact of the accident was so severe that the car was completely damaged, and the four passengers, aged between 17 and 22, died on the spot. The other passenger sustained critical injuries and was taken to the nearby hospital. However, he also died.
