Chennai Super Kings latest recruit Rachin Ravindra made the day of a CSK fan with his heart-warming gesture ahead of IPL 2024.
Rachin was roped-in by the 5-time IPL winners, CSK, in the IPL 2024 mini-auction, held on December 19 in Dubai. Rachin was sold for Rs 1.8 crore to the franchise and is set to make his debut in the cash-rich league this season.

A heart-warming video capturing Rachin’s interaction with a dedicated CSK fan emerged on social media. The video showcased Rachin being approached by a fan holding a placard with an array of pictures of the CSK players. The poster also included Rachin adorning the iconic CSK jersey.
Rachin graciously stepped out of his car and signed an autograph for the fan’s memorabilia. The fan looked really happy and joyous. Rachin’s humble act for the fan is going viral on social media.
Rachin drew the attention of franchises after he emerged as a breakout star for New Zealand in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Rachin produced an exceptional performance in the World Cup. He was the 4th highest run-scorer in the tournament with 578 runs in 10 matches and three hundreds to his name. His tally is the most runs scored by a debutant in a single edition of the World Cup. Rachin is also a useful spin option, hence many considered his auction price a steal, knowing his potential with both the bat and the ball.
The 24-year-old had also expressed his excitement about joining the franchise. This season is also expected to be MS Dhoni’s last, as he might bring curtains down to his IPL career after the 17th season.
