Thayamma, a tigress at the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysuru, has been undergoing treatment after showing signs of ill health.
Zoo authorities said on December 17 that the wild cat, aged about four years and 10 months, was rescued from the Bandipur forest and brought to the zoo on March 28, 2021. She had recently stopped taking food and is being closely monitored by the zoo’s veterinary team, they said.
