sezane pre-spring collection

I’ve worn Sézane’s beautiful everyday clothes for more than a decade, and their pre-spring launch, which just dropped, might have their loveliest wear-forever pieces yet. I mean, that denim jacket! That embroidered blouse! The details are all so good. I’d love my summer uniform to be this breezy shirt with cut-offs, and how sexy would this shoulder-baring top be for a date night?

the Pitt baby scene

The other day, my friend and I were talking about how annoying it is to watch characters who are truly useless at work (like every Lena Dunham show). She said that’s why she loves The Pitt, which has been described as “competency porn.” Says the Guardian: “Is there any greater escapism than watching a capable person on TV? How would you like to come to mine and watch a two-hour supercut of people being really good at their jobs?” Made me laugh.

butcher box meat fish subscription

When cooking for the boys, I’m always looking out for high-quality protein, so we signed up for ButcherBox, the subscription-based meat and seafood delivery service. It’s been an amazing way to get organic free-range chicken, 100% grass-fed beef and bison, wild-caught fish, etc. delivered to our door from a B Corp that cares about humanely raising animals without antibiotics or added hormones. Anton and I have been making a bunch of delicious recipes (garlic-butter chicken, turkey tacos, lemony salmon) — do you have any recipe recs? If you’d like to try a ButcherBox subscription, get $60 off your order ($20 off your first three boxes) with code COJ, and, as always, let me know what you think. xoxo

Jean Goddard Michigan

We went to visit my parents in Michigan this weekend, and my mom treated us like babies, and I loved every second. I can see the end of my kids’ childhoods now that they’re 12 and 15, and I already hope we can stay in touch in a similar way. I will bring them lasagna and caesar salad forever and always!

P.S. More fun things, and where have you run into an ex?
