A shocking new development in the case of a senior Haryana IPS officer’s suicide, as an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) has now also died by suicide in Rohtak. The deceased ASI, Sandeep Kumar, was part of a team investigating corruption allegations linked to the late IPS officer, Y Puran Kumar. In a video and a note left behind, the ASI alleges that the IPS officer, Y Puran Kumar, was a ‘corrupt officer’ who took his own life out of fear of being arrested. This adds a complex layer of corruption allegations to the ongoing controversy, which initially centered on the IPS officer’s claims of caste-based harassment by senior officials. The case now involves two police deaths, conflicting suicide notes, and high-level allegations of both corruption and systemic discrimination within the Haryana police force.
