The report covers multiple tragedies, including those in Madhya Pradesh linked to Srisan Pharma’s ‘Cold Rift’ syrup, in Jammu and Kashmir involving Digital Vision, and international incidents in Gambia and Uzbekistan caused by products from Maiden Pharma and Marion Biotech. An expert in the report states, ‘Those children died because they were administered poison.’ The investigation exposes a pattern of regulatory failure, where manufacturers illegally substitute safe ingredients like propylene glycol with toxic industrial chemicals such as diethylene glycol (DEG) and ethylene glycol (EG) to cut costs.
