In a major crackdown on synthetic drug trafficking, a special squad of the Excise department arrested two persons, including a woman social media influencer, with 3.3 kg of suspected MDMA worth around ₹3 crore, during a flash inspection at Pantheerankavu in Kozhikode on Thursday.

The carriers were identified as P.K. Shafeeq, 35, of Kondotty and Fathima Nasrin, 20, of Adivaram. Their vehicle was intercepted following a tip-off from the anti-narcotics squad.
